Globally, hard hearing is affecting over 360 million individuals. In the EU, more than 50 million people suffer from hearing loss (HL). HL can have a significant impact on an individual’s life, productivity at work, even day to day physical and emotional stability. Up till now, hearing aids (HAs) still consider as the primary treatment for those with hearing loss.  Studies suggest that the increase of utilisation of HAs and immediate reporting of HL potentially improve the lives of those with hearing loss. However, the usage and ownership of HAs remain limited. Understanding the contributing factors to improve the use of HAs is considerably challenging. Comfortability and personal preferences remain the top reasons for those with HL prevent to have and stay using HAs.
