Sinopsis

The strategic and transformational perspectives presented in this book also emerge from criticism of the dominance of bureaucratic paradigms in educational management. Genuine educational transformation requires a paradigm shift from control to trust, from compliance to innovation, and from hierarchical structures toward adaptive collaborative networks. Without such paradigm shifts, educational reform risks remaining trapped within cycles of merely cosmetic change. In the context of globalization and international competition, the challenges facing Indonesian education are not limited to improving quality, but also involve the system’s ability to adapt and innovate sustainably. Achievement gaps, inequality of access, and inconsistency in policy implementation demonstrate that systemic approaches have not yet fully become the foundation of national educational management. Therefore, this book is not intended as a final answer, but rather as a space for critical reflection that encourages readers to rethink existing educational management systems. as reminded by Peter Senge (1990), profound change can only occur when mental models themselves are transformed. Thus, the transformation of Indonesian education must begin with changing perspectives on the system itself.
